Driver on Knapsack Col
I have truly been 'living the dream' since 2017. Retired from office life, I've spent months at a time hiking in the US and Europe, I ski the French Alps every winter, and I've taken a few more conventional trips abroad as well.
My Olympus OM-D E-M5 II always makes the trip. Weighing in at under 2 pounds including the 18 -150 mm zoom lens and battery charger, it's a great camera for backpackers. Thanks to my Chicken Tramper custom bag I've always got my camera at the ready and I don't even notice the extra weight.
Here I have assembled the photos that I feel have reached some arbitrary threshold of "really nice pictures that I enjoy going back to again and again." I personally have a hard time judging my own photographs but I think that at least a few of these are truly fantastic. I would like to stress that the beautiful places and luck are doing most of the work.
If you've made it this far, I appreciate it, and you should send me an email! I love to talk hiking and travel and photography and whatever else. Happy Trails!
